About Us
Our History – The Mark A Trowbridge Chamber Foundation is a not-for- profit corporation based in Coral Gables, Florida, and was founded in 2005. In 2025, following the untimely passing of then Chamber President & CEO, the Foundation was renamed in his honor to the Mark A. Trowbridge Chamber Foundation.
Our Mission – To support community-based economic initiatives that serve local businesses in an effort to sustain and grow the economy.
Our Vision – We aim to enhance our community’s quality of life though by supporting local initiatives, non-profits, small businesses, and by enhancing our Coral Gables Welcome Center.
Our Leadership – The Mark A. Trowbridge Chamber Foundation is driven by a Board of nine volunteer directors whose responsibility is to govern and serve the Foundation.
In Memoriam
Mark A. Trowbridge served as the President & CEO of the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce for 18 years. A visionary leader, Mark was fundamental in revitalizing the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
Originally founded in 2005, the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s primary purpose is to support initiatives and fellow non-profit organizations that highlight the live, work, play, learn, and grow lifestyle found in The City Beautiful.
Affectionately known as Mister Coral Gables, Mark dedicated himself to our community as a whole. He saw the big picture and spent each day advocating on behalf of businesses large and small. He was instrumental in launching the Coral Gables’ Official Welcome Center, in partnership with the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau and Miami-Dade County’s Tourism Development Council and was the driving force behind re-launching this Foundation.
Although Mark is no longer with us physically, his legacy will live on indefinitely through the initiatives and organizations we support in his name.
Get Involved
For more than two decades, the Mark A. Trowbridge Chamber Foundation has been attuned to the diverse needs of our local community.
Through your support we have helped support organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters mentorship program at Coral Gables Senior High, and through collaborations with Miami-Dade County’s Tourism Development Council and the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau, serve as our community’s Welcome Center.

An initiative by the Mark A. Trowbridge Chamber Foundation in collaboration with Bliss Imprints and Gifts, every purchase helps support the Chamber Foundation’s mission to strengthen local businesses, promote economic vitality, and invest in education, workforce development, and civic engagement throughout Coral Gables.
